Our Friend, Rich

When Tim and I went to Nashville, we visited The Frist Center and had a fantastic time.  We happened to catch The Golden Age of Couture Exhibit- lots of vintage dresses, corsets, and the like.  I nearly cried I was so happy.  Tim was a very good sport.  He is a nice husband.

Anyway, while there, I discovered (and fell in love with) a photographer named Richard Avedon.  He's brilliant.  His work made me want a different life.  I mean that in such a good way.  I just don't know how to explain it.  Maybe you can do it better.  I think if I was 10 years younger, I would become a photographer, and when people would ask me what made me want to become a photographer, I would say, "The work of Richard Avedon."
He is just that good.  I know you'll love him, too.

And for you, on this-almost-Friday- My Favorite Print by our friend, Rich.
You must research him.  You must.  This post hardly did him justice.
Love and new favorite artists,
H.
P.S. I'm asking for his books for Christmas, and I've been really good this year.  Just so you know.

These are BEAUTIFUL photographs. I absolutely love them. I love the feeling of the first one - the woman who looks like she's walking on air! If only my whole life were that wonderful-looking. :)
